About Greg
How I Got here
People often ask me how I found my way to becoming a sexuality and relationship therapist, and honestly, it feels like I’ve been walking this path my entire life. Growing up, I spent countless hours exploring nature—learning the value of curiosity, reflection, and deep, intentional connection. These lessons became the foundation of my work: helping people explore their inner worlds with the same sense of wonder and care.
My grandmother, a sex-positive clinical social worker, had a profound impact on me. She taught me to approach sexuality not with shame, but with curiosity and openness. Those early lessons stayed with me, guiding my career and shaping my belief that everyone deserves to feel empowered in their sexuality and relationships.

My Journey
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in youth development at the YMCA. But as time went on, I felt a deeper calling—to ministry, to therapy, and to helping others navigate the complexities of their inner lives. My studies in Psychology and Religious Studies at Humboldt State University only deepened that passion, but it was coming out in a conservative church setting that truly shifted my perspective. I realized that the rigid structures I had once embraced no longer aligned with my values or vision for authentic living.
That experience—challenging long-held beliefs and stepping into my truth—sparked a passion for helping others do the same. I became certified as a secular sex therapist through AASECT, training with leading experts in sexual religious trauma, kink, and alternative relationships. Along the way, I also completed field research on non-monogamous relationships among ex-fundamentalist Christians, which fueled my drive to create safe, shame-free spaces for exploration and healing.
What I Offer
Today, I specialize in sex therapy, relationship therapy, LGBTQ+ identity, and healing from religious trauma. I work with individuals and couples navigating sexual challenges, exploring gender identity, or redefining their relationships. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, often addressing the intertwined impacts of religious trauma and sexual shame. Whether you’re untangling harmful beliefs, exploring alternative relationships, or simply seeking deeper self-acceptance, I’m here to walk alongside you.
I offer in-person sessions in Pasadena, CA, as well as online therapy for California residents. Together, we’ll create a space that’s tailored to your unique story—a space where curiosity, empathy, and a touch of humor help guide your healing.
Beyond the Therapy Office
When I’m not working with clients, you can often find me hiking, exploring nature, or diving into a good conversation. I am known to be “flirted” into buying the highest level National Park’s Annual Pass every year. Those NPS Park Rangers play a coy game.
My goal in therapy is simple: to help you feel more empowered, braver, and prouder of who you are. Whether you’re just starting your journey or continuing a lifelong exploration, I’m here to support you in creating the life and connections you truly deserve.
